Justice for the Creators
I’m creating this fundraiser to build an emergency legal-defense fund for myself and, ultimately, to stand in solidarity with other creators who may find themselves facing serious legal challenges because of accusations they believe are false or unjust.
Creators put their voices, ideas, experiences, and perspectives into the world every day. Whether we make videos, music, art, commentary, writing, or other forms of content, our ability to speak and create matters.
But when a creator becomes the subject of accusations or a legal dispute, the financial burden of defending themselves can be overwhelming. Even before a case is resolved, attorney fees, court costs, documentation, and other legal expenses can place enormous pressure on an individual.
That is why I’m asking for your help now—before an emergency happens.
The goal of this fundraiser is to establish an emergency reserve that can help me obtain qualified legal assistance if I ever need to defend myself in court over lawful speech or creative expression. I also hope this effort can contribute to a larger conversation about supporting creators who find themselves in similar situations.
This fundraiser is not about declaring anyone guilty or innocent before the facts are established in a legal proceeding. It is about making sure that people have access to appropriate legal representation and a meaningful opportunity to defend themselves when serious accusations arise.
If you believe creators deserve the ability to defend themselves, tell their side of the story, and continue participating in public life without being financially helpless when legal trouble arises, please consider supporting this campaign.
Every donation helps build a safety net.
A $5 donation helps.
A $25 donation helps.
A $100 donation helps.
And sharing this fundraiser can help just as much.
Justice for the creators means making sure that a person's ability to defend themselves isn't determined solely by whether they can afford to do so.
Thank you for reading, supporting, sharing, and standing with creators who are trying to protect their voices and their futures.
