Welcome to our fundraiser for Hugh's upcoming therapies!

A little background:

Hugh's life has been pretty special since the very beginning.

From early complications, to my water breaking at 21 weeks, he was born at 30 weeks with a 3 month NICU stay followed by several surgeries.

On his first birthday he went into cardiac arrest in the ER due to respiratory distress, and after 33 min of CPR he was placed on a life supporting ECMO machine for 8 days, suffering an anoxic brain injury that affected his central nervous system, muscle control, eyesight, sense of balance, and most likely speech. He was officially diagnosed with CVI, meaning he is legally blind, with symptoms similar to Cerebral Palsy.

Fast forward to a year later and he has done amazingly well, all things considered.

However, the brain injury has left him with the muscle control of a 3 month old.

He is g-tube dependent again, and will require thousands of hours of therapies to get him as independent as is possible with such an injury.

Having a medically complex case such as his requires a lot of extra time and money to help him become mobile, and we would love for you to come alongside us and help us fund therapies as we continue to press forward with Hugh's recovery.

He is currently in PT, OT, Feeding, and vision therapies twice a week.

This fundraiser is specifically for the following therapies:

Stem Cell (Panama City, Panama)

$15,825.00 + $ 2,400.00 in travel

DMI Intensive (Dynamic Movement Intervention) -

This therapy is a 3 week intensive that works on repetition of movement and core strength.

It is located in Spring Hill, TN.

$7,950.00 + $ 260.00 in gas

Neuro Intensive (10 days with Lucas Brain Rehab. Austin, TX) 

$12,00.00 + $ 2,500.00 in travel

If we exceed our goal, we will be looking into multiple rounds of stem cell and DMI for a total cost of $94,045.00. We are doing our best to get as many rounds in as possible before he turns 3 (Feb of 2027), because we will be working within the brains most informative years.
