For the past four years, Heritage Ministries has been planting seeds for a Christ-centered, hands-on education movement in central Illinois. From Navigation to Rube Goldberg engineering, Leather-Working to Simple Machines, we’ve seen children and families grow in both skill and discipleship — because we believe education is discipleship, and Jesus Christ is Lord over every subject.

This fall, God has opened the door for our next step — launching our Hybrid Homeschool at Chatham Baptist Church.

We are praying for "Founding Donors" who can commit to giving $50 or more/month (or any amount the Lord leads) so that we can open strong, debt-free, and ready to serve families across Springfield and beyond.

But wait, there's more!!! We were also able to help put together a homeschool high school baseball team in the summer of 2024!!! That was a particularly exciting time and, this past summer we expanded to a 12U and a 14U! We ultimately hope to help create a homeschool athletic association and, indeed, include as many extra curricular activities (think dance, theater, Madrigals, etc...) in that as the Lord provides help and workers for!

Why It Matters

We believe there is no such thing as a “neutral” education. Every lesson disciples children toward something — we disciple them toward Christ.

Together, we can raise a generation to love what is good, hate what is evil, and live for Christ in every sphere of life.
