This is her story:

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) in the summer of 2020. Docs wanted to put me on Synthroid (which is synthetic hormones) but I wanted to know why my thyroid wasn't working well. I wanted to heal my body, not put a band-aid on it. So, I sought out a holistic practitioner that could help me. She put me on supplements and vitamin regiments. By late fall of 2020, my thyroid was well on the way to working at 100%. Struggling to handle all the responsibilities of life over the last two or three years, I've gotten shingles four times, and in general, have had a hard time managing daily tasks. When I was pregnant in 2024 with my last baby, #9, I had a lot of heart issues! My heart skipped beats and I didn't feel well. I was diagnosed by my OB with Hashimoto's (auto-immune thyroid disease), but they didn't treat it since I was pregnant. This last baby has given me a run for my money. To say I've been stressed out is an understatement. I've had heart issues where my heart has struggled to beat, getting as low as 40 BPM at night; my resting heartbeat staying at 50/60. I've had an inability to handle everyday life:  making dinner, cleaning the house, and schooling the children feels impossible. I just feel so tired and drained all the time, even when I get enough sleep. There were other symptoms, too, but those were the main ones that made me wonder if I was okay.  In Nov 2025, I went to see my friend that owns a health food store. She was sure I had Hashimoto's and urged me to see a doc. So I did and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I got on Armor Thyroid (pig thyroid) to control my symptoms, and it did help. But, I had to keep increasing the dosage to keep the symptoms at bay.  My heart was struggling all day now, not just at night, and the other symptoms I was having got worse as well.. I started doing some research and realized that Hashimoto's is just the beginning of an immune system tornado. It starts by killing your thyroid and then moves on to another organ, and then another, and then another. Hashimoto's is a chronic illness that doesn't go away and there's no way to heal your body.... or at least that's what we are told.  After receiving encouragement to seek out the root cause of my Hashimoto's, I found out one possibility is an underlying infection in your gum tissue that your dentist wouldn't see and you might not feel.. I immediately made an appointment with a biological dentist to get my mouth looked at and to take x-rays with a cone beam X-ray that looks under the tissue. While I didn't have any infections, the dentist let me know that I had five mercury fillings and there's been a link between fillings and Hashimoto's. I started researching the connections and came across Dr Izabella Wentz. She has written several books on Hashimoto's, including a 90-day plan to reverse thyroid symptoms. I'm following that plan in hopes to relieve some of my symptoms until I can have the mercury fillings removed. Dr Wentz mentions that there was a study done in 2010 showing Hashimoto's was gone in 70% of the patients that removed the mercury fillings. 70% is huge! There's more to the article than that, but it is super encouraging. This is the route I believe I'm supposed to travel to heal my body, but I need help. Bio dentists don't take dental insurance. We have been quoted $9,581 to get the procedures done!
