Thank you for taking the time to read this brief description of Erich’s journey with cancer and his need for support. We greatly appreciate your time and interest.
Our dear Erich—loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, organic beef farmer, and involved community member—has been battling colon cancer.
Since learning of his diagnosis a little over a year ago at age 60, he has had surgery to remove a large tumor and part of his ascending colon.
Soon after the surgery, he learned that the cancer had spread to his liver.
After receiving a number of therapies over these last months, Erich has begun IPT, (Insulin Potentiation Therapy) treatments in Mexico. He is working with a third-generation doctor who specializes in working with patients in late stages of cancer treatment.
Erich has been tolerating these treatments well and hopes to continue working with this gifted doctor. Both the doctor and Erich feel optimistic about Erich’s progress.
The cost of treatments and travel for Erich is entirely out-of-pocket—and it’s beyond his means to sustain them on his own. Donations will help cover costs of the treatments, as well as travel and lodging expenses over these next many months of treatments.
To know Erich is to know and appreciate his generous heart, inquisitive mind, and courageous spirit. His hard work ethic and his dedication to providing healthy food for his family and community for over 25 years have been valued and appreciated by so many.
