Hope for Nathan: Every Little Help Matters

Help Nathan Fight for Another Chance at Life 💙

I never imagined that our journey as parents would begin with us fighting for our baby’s life.

When Nathan was only a few months old, he was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a serious liver condition that changed our lives overnight.

As his father, I watched my wife and our family face something no parent should ever have to face. Nathan underwent a Kasai operation here in the Philippines while he was still just a baby. We held on to every bit of hope that the procedure would give our son the chance to grow up healthy.

But as the years passed, we eventually learned that Nathan would need a liver transplant.

And once again, we had to fight for our son.

His mother stepped forward and became his donor. She gave a part of her own liver so that Nathan could have another chance at life.

I will never forget what my wife went through for our son. She endured the fear, the pain, and everything that came with giving a part of herself to save him.

We thought that after the transplant, perhaps the hardest part of our journey was finally behind us.

We were wrong.

Years later, Nathan needed to travel to India for further treatment. His mother went with him, leaving behind our home and our other children so she could stay beside Nathan and fight for him.

She became his strength through every hospital visit, every procedure, every difficult day.

Doctors performed a stenting procedure, hoping it would help Nathan’s condition. But sadly, there was no improvement.

We were then faced with news that no parent ever wants to hear:

Nathan’s body is rejecting the liver that his mother once donated to him.

The possibility of another liver transplant became our new reality.

This time, his mother cannot be his donor again.

She has already given a part of herself to Nathan.

So now, as his father, I am preparing to become his donor.

I would give anything I could to save my son. If giving a part of my liver can give Nathan another chance at life, then I am ready to do it.

But a transplant comes with enormous medical and financial challenges. The expenses for treatment, procedures, hospital stays, tests, travel, and the transplant itself are more than our family can carry alone.

That is why I am humbly asking for your help.

My wife has spent years fighting for our son. She went through the Kasai journey with him when he was a baby. She became his donor years later. And now she has traveled to India and stayed by his side through another difficult chapter.

Now, I am asking you to stand with our family as we fight for Nathan’s next chance.

Any amount, no matter how small, can help us get closer to giving Nathan the treatment he needs.

If you cannot donate, please help us by sharing Nathan’s story, reaching someone who may be able to help, or simply praying for our son.

As parents, we are not asking for an easy journey.

We are simply asking for another chance for our son to live.

Please help us fight for Nathan. 💙

Thank you for every prayer, every share, every donation, and every person who chooses to stand with our family during this difficult time.

From a father who will do everything he can for his son,

Thank you. 🙏🏻💙
