Humbly asking for help.
Dear Family and Friends,
We have struggled with whether or not to do this but we are humbly asking you for your help.
Here is what's going on...
This past July, we have been in our home for 10 years. We have been renting, and according to the wife of the property owner, we would have the option to purchase. Earlier this year, the wife stated on two separate occasions that things were changing and that we would only have a year or two left on the property. I reminded her that we were interested in buying the property.
In/Around May, shortly after my diagnosis of Liver Disease, we had been informed that we would need to leave at the end of the year, as their son wants to move in here. That they had learned that the rental he is in has sold. He had to be out by February 1, 2027. Instead of looking for a home, he went to his mother to remove us so that he can live here. We had been given until "the beginning of the year" to find a new place to live.
We looked at a place, and while deciding on whether to move there, we received a call from the husband, stating that things had been figured out, and that we were allowed to stay for "another year or two". So we decided to stay, and work on getting things in line to get ready to purchase, and move, in the beginning of the year.
Everything seemed fine until about a month and a half ago. The wife came over to the property that we live at and told me that we needed to be out by November 1, 2026, so that her son can move in. The husband is not in total agreement, telling us to take our time and find something that we like. Now, the son is threatening to physically remove us, if we are not out by November 1st, despite the father/husband telling him to leave us alone.
Adam immediately applied for a mortgage, however the amount has us priced out of our area, and are looking for a home within an hour drive from my place of employment. We have been busting tail, trying to find a place to go, and putting money aside to purchase and move. However, with the much shorter timeline, we are lacking in a decent down payment.
We have decided to reach out, and ask for help. We have some money available, but not enough to be helpful. We are humbly coming forward, asking if you feel moved to do so, to please help us get a down payment for a home. If you are unable to do so, we ask for prayers that it will all come together.
