I'm a single mother of two, a 14-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son. My son has been having behavioral challenges, and I've been missing work while we get things regulated with him. Because of those missed hours, I've fallen behind on rent.
We received an eviction notice and have 5 business days to get to court with the money owed for September's rent plus court costs. October rent is also due, and I'm struggling to pull it all together. I recently got a $2.50 raise at my job for being a great employee, something I'm proud of, but it caused my food stamps to be taken away, which made things even tighter.
