Help Tyler and His Family During This Medical Emergency ❤️
Our family is asking for prayers and support for my brother, Tyler, and his family during this incredibly difficult and frightening time.
For over a year, Tyler has been struggling with ongoing health issues without receiving any answers about what is causing them. In the early morning hours around 3 a.m., everything took a terrifying turn when he experienced a medical emergency. On his way to bed from the bathroom, Tyler fell and began having a seizure. Medical personnel worked on him for approximately 25 minutes before getting him to the hospital, where he has continued to experience seizures.
Despite running numerous tests, doctors have not yet been able to determine what is causing this. They are still waiting on additional testing, including an MRI and a spinal tap, in hopes of finding answers. Tyler has remained unresponsive and had to be intubated. He is now in the ICU, and our family is anxiously waiting for answers and praying for him to pull through.
As if the medical uncertainty weren’t enough, Tyler and his wife, Jovelyn, have already been facing significant financial challenges because of his health. Tyler has been unable to return to work due to his ongoing medical issues and has been staying home with their sweet 4-year-old son, Felix, while Jovelyn works approximately 60 hours a week to keep their family afloat.
Now, with Tyler in the ICU, Jovelyn is having to miss work to be by her husband’s side during this frightening time. Their little boy, Felix, is also unable to visit his dad in the hospital, making this situation even more heartbreaking for their family.
We are creating this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden they are facing, including everyday living expenses, household bills, and the unexpected costs that may come with this medical emergency. We want Jovelyn to be able to focus on being there for Tyler without having to carry the added stress of worrying about how they will make ends meet while also caring for their little boy.
