Help Tahlon Get to YWAM Montana

11/5 Update: I just received a generous donation of $1000, moving my goal to $5,700. Thank you all!

I recently got a job at a local grocery store here in Midland, and look forward to seeing how much I’m going to be able to raise myself!!

Tahlon here!

Guess what?! I got accepted into YWAM’s Discipleship Training School in Lakeside, Montana, from January 8 to May 28, 2027. With only 35 people accepted into the January start, things are feeling pretty darn special.

I want to grow closer to God, understand the Bible better, and learn how to serve people in everyday life, while I learn how to be my best-self when delivering His message.

For the first 12 weeks, I’ll live on campus, take classes, join a small group, and help out around campus. Then I’ll spend about two months serving with an outreach team in another culture, most likely overseas.

We’ll return to Lakeside for a final week to reflect on what we learned before graduation in late May.

My total goal is $10,000, and thanks to the people who’ve already helped, I’ve raised $3,300 so far. That leaves $6,700 to go. Here’s what the money will help cover.

  1. $5,100 for training, campus housing, and meals
  2. $4,200 for outreach airfare, ground fees, insurance, housing, and meals
  3. $700 estimated for round-trip travel to Montana and other expenses

If you’d like to help me get there, I’d be grateful for any amount. I’d also love your prayers as I get ready and would appreciate you sharing this page with anyone who might want to follow along.

Thank you for cheering me on. I’m excited to share what I learn along the way!
