Sometimes life doesn’t deliver just one hardship—it delivers one after another until even the strongest person can no longer carry the weight alone. Susan needs our help now.
It began with losing her long time business partner in 2020 due to Covid-related pneumonia, which brought about the loss of their small business built over 30 years: A boutique turn-key, agency specializing in brand strategy, writing, and production for television, film, music and entertainment.
In the pandemic and lockdown aftermath, Susan’s life, and livelihood continued to unravel. After losing her business, she then lost her home, her car, and life savings drained away, as unfortunately, the hardships didn’t end there.
Susan’s son became seriously ill following two Moderna injections, mandated by the state of Connecticut for work. His ongoing health challenges and disability continued with dozens of hospitalizations and other care over the past six years. Needless to say, it has wrought tremendous emotional and financial strain to their family.
In June 2023, Susan experienced a catastrophic medical emergency of her own when she suffered collapsed and compressed spinal cord after two vertebrae slid out of place, crushing two discs above the site of a previous spinal surgery she had undergone approximately 20 years earlier. After a year of intensive rehabilitation, she was able to learn to walk again.
Susan is now suffering from similar symptoms in the last three weeks and is currently hospitalized waiting on decisions by her doctors for surgeries. She has been unable to work since being hospitalized and will not be able to work into the unforeseen future.
She critically needs our help to secure a permanent place to live with security deposits and enough for a 1-year lease, home furnishings, a car for the usual life errands, transportation to ongoing medical and physical therapy appointments and eventual work. These funds a set a firm foundation in place for the future of her home and family, moving forward.
