My name is Nancy, and I am the proud mother of Phoenix, the creator of Phoenix Talks, a United States military veteran, and most importantly, my daughter.
Today, I am reaching out to you not just as the mother of someone you may know and love, but as a mother facing one of the most frightening moments of her life.
My daughter has been diagnosed with invasive triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), Grade 2, reported as Stage 1B, located deep in the posterior portion of her left breast, near her chest wall.
Triple-negative breast cancer is known for its aggressive nature, and this diagnosis has brought fear, uncertainty, difficult decisions, and a journey none of us ever expected.
As a mother, there is nothing more heartbreaking than knowing your child is facing cancer.
No matter how old our children become, they will always be our babies.
And right now, my baby needs help.

For years, many of you have welcomed Phoenix into your homes through Phoenix Talks.
Day after day, she has shown up to advocate for the innocent and framed, shared facts, evidence and truth in court cases.
Through countless livestreams, difficult conversations, laughter, tears, late nights, and moments when others needed someone to listen.
She has poured her heart into her community on a daily basis for years.
She has given her time, her voice, her compassion, her strength, and so much of herself to the people she lovingly calls her Nesters.
She has stood beside others, encouraged them to keep going, and created a community that has become so much more than a YouTube channel.
Now, my daughter needs that same love and support.
And there is something especially meaningful about her situation.
Her cancer is in her LEFT breast, deep near the chest wall.
Because of its location, she is seeking an evaluation for specialized proton beam radiation therapy in California, including whether this approach could help reduce unnecessary radiation exposure to healthy tissues such as her heart.
The evaluation will help determine whether proton therapy is medically appropriate for her.
As her mother, I want her to have access to the best possible medical advice and every appropriate opportunity to protect her health.
So today, I am asking something from the heart:

Before many of you knew her as Phoenix, my daughter proudly served in the United States military.
She answered the call to serve her country.
She learned the meaning of sacrifice, perseverance, courage, and determination.
She has carried that strength into her life and into the community she has built.
But today, she is facing a battle she never volunteered for.
Cancer.
A battle that can affect not only her physical health but her emotional well-being, financial stability, and everyday life.
My daughter has spent years being strong for others.
Now, I am asking her fellow veterans, her Phoenix Talks Nesters, her friends, our family, and kindhearted strangers to help us be strong for her.
WHY I CREATED THIS FUNDRAISER
As Phoenix's mother, I have personally organized this GiveSendGo fundraiser to help relieve the financial burden associated with her diagnosis, treatment, travel, and recovery.
Our fundraising goal is $45,000.
I will be responsible for overseeing and managing the donated funds on her behalf.
I want my daughter to focus on her health, her medical appointments, her treatment decisions, and her recovery rather than worrying about how she will afford the next expense.
She is preparing to seek an evaluation in California for proton beam radiation therapy, a specialized radiation treatment that may offer advantages in reducing radiation exposure to certain healthy tissues for selected patients.
Because her cancer is located deep in her left breast near the chest wall, she wants to understand whether this treatment could be appropriate for her.
She is also exploring evidence-based medical treatment, supportive and integrative care, nutritional support, and resources that can help her through treatment and recovery.
Some of these services and related travel expenses may not be fully covered by insurance.
Our hope is to help her access appropriate care without the added burden of overwhelming financial stress.
WHERE YOUR $45,000 IN DONATIONS WILL GO
We have established the following preliminary budget to help support Phoenix's medical journey:
- $12,000 — Specialized Medical Care and Proton Therapy Evaluation: Oncology specialists, second opinions, radiation consultations, planning, testing, insurance-related expenses, and potential treatment costs.
- $7,000 — Integrative and Supportive Cancer Care: Evidence-informed complementary therapies, oncology nutrition counseling, rehabilitation, and other supportive services that may not be covered by insurance.
- $6,000 — Travel to California: Transportation, airfare if needed, fuel, vehicle expenses, parking, and travel to specialized medical facilities.
- $8,000 — California Lodging: Hotels, extended-stay accommodations, and housing expenses during appointments or treatment.
- $3,000 — Nutrition and Recovery: Nutritional needs, recovery supplies, and other health-related support.
- $6,000 — Essential Living Expenses: Household bills, groceries, utilities, and necessary financial assistance during treatment and recovery.
- $3,000 — Unexpected Expenses and Fundraising Fees: Unanticipated medical and travel costs, along with applicable processing fees.
TOTAL FUNDRAISING GOAL: $45,000
These amounts are initial estimates and may change as her medical team determines her treatment plan and actual expenses become known.
I will personally manage the funds, maintain records, and provide appropriate updates while respecting my daughter's medical privacy.
