If you know my mom, you know how hard she works and how much of herself she gives to others. At 66 years old, she is still working full-time as a nurse, spending her days taking care of people and making a difference in their lives. She has always worked hard to support herself and has never been one to ask for help. Now, she’s the one who needs a little extra love and support.
In the middle of October, my mom took a really bad fall and was rushed to the hospital. We found out that she had broken her knee and would need surgery. She had her surgery last Friday, and now she’s facing a long recovery ahead. Her doctors have told her she will be unable to return to work for at least three months.
As her child, it’s incredibly hard to see my mom go through this, knowing how much she has always done for herself and others. She is her own source of income, and being out of work for three months means she still has bills to pay and everyday expenses to worry about, all while trying to recover from surgery. The last thing I want is for her to have to stress about how she’s going to make ends meet when she should be focusing on getting better.
My siblings and I are doing everything we can to be there for her and help carry some of this weight. We want her to be able to rest, heal, and focus on her recovery without constantly worrying about finances. We know we can’t take away the pain or make this process easy, but we hope we can take some of the stress off her shoulders and remind her that she doesn’t have to face this alone.
Asking for help isn’t always easy, but sometimes life throws unexpected challenges our way, and we have to lean on others. We’re reaching out with hopeful hearts and asking for any help you may be able to give during this difficult time. Any donation, will help cover her bills and living expenses while she’s unable to work. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my mom’s story and for helping us support someone who has spent so much of her life caring for others. Every donation, share, prayer, and kind thought means more than words can express. We just want our mom to be able to heal, recover, and get back on her feet without the added weight of financial stress.
Thank you for loving and supporting our mom during a time when she needs it most. ❤️
