On September 1st, Megan (Laurent) Parsons suffered a severe asthma attack. Megan is a mother, wife, sister and business owner at @Wild n’ Blooming Bouquets. Thus far, Megan has spent 7 days on a ventilator and 9 days in the ICU. She's now stable but will remain in the hospital until her lungs are ready, then transfer to Mary Freebed for several weeks to months for therapies.
Her husband and daughter have been rotating shifts between Grand Rapids and home in B.C., trying to keep life going here while being there for her. Our community has been incredible, now we prepare for the long haul for recovery.
When Megan comes home, she will require significant changes to make her space safe. We're looking at special allergy coverings for her bed, special pillows, a thorough chemical-free cleaning of the house from top to bottom, a hospital bed, a special bath tub for the main floor, a ramp into the home and so much more to be discovered. She'll also need help at home as she heals.
