Help Me Keep My Home While Fighting for Disability

I've always been independent, and asking for help is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But sometimes life has a way of reminding us that we can't do everything alone.

I moved to Arkansas from San Diego in 2021, hoping to build a new chapter in my life. Unfortunately, things haven't gone quite as planned.

I've spent most of my adult life working, primarily in delivery and other physically demanding jobs. After years of dealing with back problems, my ability to work has become increasingly limited.

I've tried pushing through it. I've tried returning to regular employment, including a recent attempt at delivery work, but my back and physical limitations made it impossible to continue. I'm currently appealing a Social Security disability denial and undergoing medical evaluation for my condition.

In the meantime, I've continued trying to earn whatever I can through gig work, but it simply hasn't been enough to cover my living expenses.

I've been living off my savings, doing my best to stay current on my bills and keep a roof over my head.

Unfortunately, those savings are nearly exhausted, with approximately two to three months of living expenses remaining.

I've also put my fifth-wheel RV up for sale to help support myself. I'm hopeful it will sell, but I can't predict when that will happen.

I'm not facing eviction today, and I'm doing everything I can to prevent ever reaching that point. That's why I'm reaching out now, before my situation becomes an emergency.

My goal is to raise $3,000 to help cover rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other basic living expenses while I continue pursuing disability benefits and working toward financial stability.

I've always been more comfortable helping others than asking for help myself. Writing this is humbling, but I'm realizing that sometimes even the strongest, most stubborn people need a helping hand.

If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, I would be incredibly grateful. And if you can't, sharing my story would mean just as much.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping me hold on to a little stability and hope during a difficult chapter of my life. 💜
