I need a ride to the doctor. That is the whole story, and I am asking you to hear it.
**My story**
There are days when asking for help feels harder than the problem itself. Today is one of those days.
I am not looking for luxury. I am not looking for a new car, a dream truck, or anything fancy. ✨ I need an old car or an old truck — any safe, basic ride — so I can get to my doctor’s appointments. That is all I am asking for. A way to show up for my own health when walking, waiting, and hoping for a ride is no longer enough. ⏳
I have tried other paths. Some were ordinary. Some were long shots. None of them worked. ️ Reaching people who are willing to help has been the hardest part. So I am saying it plainly, with no jokes and no tricks: I am in a pickle, and I need a hand.
I also want to say this clearly. I know I am not the only one who needs help. There are people with heavier loads than mine — people facing worse health, tighter money, or no one at all to ask. I am not more important than they are. My need is real, but it is not the only need. If you have already given somewhere else, or if someone closer to you is waiting on you, I understand. I am one person among many, and I do not expect to come first.
**Why this connects to you**
Most of us have sat in a waiting room, or watched someone we love do it. You know what it costs to miss an appointment — not just money, but time, worry, and the feeling that your body is asking for care you cannot quite reach. ⏰
A vehicle for me is not a convenience. It is the difference between “I have a doctor” and “I can actually get there.” ➡️ If I can keep those appointments, the ripple is quiet but real: less strain on family and friends who have been stretching to drive me, fewer missed visits, and one less person trying to carry a health problem alone.
I am also making a promise back. Whatever I am gifted, I intend to turn around and give to others who are in need when I am able. Help should move. We all have something to give, even when what we have is small. I have been on the side of needing. I want to be on the side of giving again — including to people whose situations matter just as much as mine. ❤️
**What you can do**
Any amount helps. Five dollars. Twenty. Whatever is honest for you. Small gifts add up to a used vehicle and a way for me to get by until I am back on my feet. And if your help is already spoken for by someone else, that is all right. I would rather you give where the need is greater than pretend mine is the only one.
If you cannot give, sharing still matters. More eyes mean a better chance that this reaches someone who can help — someone who has an old car sitting unused, or who simply remembers what it felt like to need a ride and not have one.
Put yourself in my seat for a moment: appointments on the calendar, no way to get there, and the courage it took to ask strangers to care — while knowing plenty of other seats are empty for the same reason. Then decide what you can offer.
God bless you, and thank you for listening. Every bit of attention, every share, and every gift is a reminder that people still look out for one another. I will not forget it. ❤️
