Help Jaime & Becky Through a Medical and Financial Crisis
My name is Jaime Blythe, and I'm a widowed mother to my 19-year-old daughter, Becky. After years of heartbreaking losses, serious medical challenges, and overwhelming financial hardship, we are asking for help during one of the most difficult times of our lives.
We have set a $35,000 fundraising goal to help protect our health, homes, transportation, insurance coverage, and irreplaceable family memories.
OUR STORY
On October 8, 2023, my husband, Jim, passed away after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, just one week before Becky's 16th birthday.
Six days later, during her Sweet 16 celebration, we learned that her grandmother had also passed away. Then, on September 5, 2024, my father died unexpectedly from a massive heart attack.
In less than a year, our family experienced three devastating losses.
Through it all, Becky and I have held tightly to each other and to our faith in God.
MY URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS
I live with Loin Pain Hematuria Syndrome (LPHS) and Nutcracker Syndrome, which cause debilitating chronic pain.
I cannot stand for more than two minutes and must use my electric wheelchair every time I leave home.
I have an implanted intrathecal pain pump that delivers medication for severe pain. It must be refilled before November 14, 2026. An interruption in medication delivery could cause severe withdrawal and potentially life-threatening complications.
I also have Type 2 diabetes and urgently need insulin, prescriptions, and blood glucose testing supplies that I am struggling to afford.
Without adequate medical insurance, obtaining necessary treatment has become extremely difficult. I also face the possibility of major surgery.
OUR DELAWARE HOME IS AT RISK
In 2026, Becky and I moved to Maryville, Tennessee, hoping for a fresh start and better access to specialized medical care.
We still own our family home and property in Delaware. Unfortunately, ongoing litigation prevents us from selling the house and property.
Meanwhile, we remain responsible for the mortgage and home equity loan payments. We have fallen behind and may face foreclosure.
Wells Fargo is reviewing our appeal for mortgage assistance, but the outcome remains uncertain.
We are not discussing the details of the legal matter publicly. We want to protect our property and financial future while working toward a resolution.
SAVING OUR FAMILY MEMORIES
We urgently need approximately $3,000 to address overdue PODS storage payments.
These containers hold family photographs, keepsakes, treasured belongings, and memories of loved ones we have lost.
Many items are family heirlooms we hope to pass down to Becky, her future children, and generations to come.
We are not simply trying to save possessions. We are trying to preserve our family's history.
KEEPING OUR VEHICLE
We need approximately $2,000 toward overdue payments to help prevent repossession of our Kia Carnival.
Becky needs transportation for work, and I depend on our vehicle for medical appointments, prescriptions, and everyday necessities.
Because I require my wheelchair whenever I leave home, losing our vehicle would seriously affect my independence and access to medical care.
INSURANCE AND EVERYDAY NECESSITIES
We are behind on several insurance policies, including coverage for our Delaware home and accessory dwelling, Tennessee condo, Kia Carnival, Dodge Ram, life insurance, and supplemental hospital insurance.
Some policies are at risk of cancellation before the end of October.
We also need affordable medical insurance, plus help with utilities, groceries, housing expenses, and other necessities.
WE ARE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN
I run two small, home-based businesses: Blissful Blythe Travels and Blissful Blythe Organizers.
Becky works hard and contributes everything she can.
Despite our efforts, medical expenses, overdue bills, and urgent payment deadlines have become overwhelming.
We are not asking for luxuries. We are asking for help protecting our health, homes, transportation, and family memories.
HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP
Our $35,000 goal will help with:
- Urgent pain pump care, insulin, diabetes supplies, prescriptions, and medical treatment.
- Overdue mortgage and home equity payments to help address foreclosure risk.
- Property, vehicle, life, and supplemental hospital insurance premiums.
- Approximately $3,000 in PODS storage expenses.
- Approximately $2,000 in overdue Kia payments.
- Essential household expenses, utilities, groceries, and emergency needs.
Some amounts are still being confirmed. We will prioritize donations based on the most urgent medical needs and payment deadlines.
PREFER TO PAY A BILL DIRECTLY?
We understand concerns about online fundraising scams.
For anyone who would prefer to contribute directly toward a specific bill, we are exploring secure payment arrangements with Ally Financial and PODS.
Please get in touch with us privately to discuss any confirmed payment options. We will not share sensitive financial information publicly.
YOUR PRAYERS MEAN EVERYTHING
Our Christian faith has carried us through unimaginable heartbreak.
We believe God has not forgotten us, even during our most difficult moments.
Please pray for my health and healing, Becky's future, protection of our family memories and property, and financial stability.
If you cannot donate, we completely understand. Your prayers, encouragement, and willingness to share our story mean more than words can express.
More than anything, I want Becky and me to move forward, regain stability, and finally find some peace.
Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness, generosity, or prayers you can offer.
With love, faith, hope, and heartfelt gratitude,
Jaime & Becky Blythe
