On August 8th, 2023, I was intentionally sprayed with weed killer by a worker of a County Office (Claycomo Special Roads District) and called a derogatory name. The assault was recorded on my RING and witnessed by 2 individuals. The police did nothing about the assault with a harmful substance which is a felony and said it is a civil matter. The news reported on it when it happened. I contacted every local, state, and federal office for help, but I kept being told they could not do anything for me or it wasn't their jurisdiction. I also contacted the ACLU, who said they would investigate, but I have never heard anything back.
I found a lawyer willing to take on the Special Roads District and County. However, IN MY OPINION the judge is not following Missouri law as WRITTEN and dismissing my case.. Even with their admission of guilt by filing a claim with their insurance company. I now have to come up with $5000+ to appeal in the Western Missouri Court of Appeals. This court case has the potential to set precedent, and my lawyer thinks it could go all the way to the Federal Supreme Court to change the laws of our Country. I am disabled. The inital exposure caused immediate documented health issues with my medical providers and now I have to see an Oncologist because this could ultimately cause cancer and more pain and suffering for years to come on top of my current health issues. I make a very minimal amount on Disability. Not even enough to provide for myself. Your help would go towards the appeal and any other legal expenses that accrue over the next two years while we await to be heard in the Court of Appeals. You will he helping me fight injustice and bring about true legal change not only in Missouri, but possibly the United States of America.
