We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your urgent help and support for our dear friend, Corola Roskamp, who lives in Michigan. In the middle of last week, Corola’s life was completely upended when a devastating fire tore through her property.
The fire was unforgiving. Her home and everything inside it burnt completely to the ground. The blaze also destroyed her horse trailer and all of its contents. Corola did not just lose her physical belongings—she lost her sanctuary, her memories, and her beloved animals. Heartbreakingly, her cats and her loyal Great Pyrenees dog, who were inside the house at the time, did not survive the fire.
Corola is currently facing the unimaginable reality of starting completely over with absolutely nothing.
With a harsh Michigan winter quickly approaching, the urgency of her situation cannot be overstated. It is about to get very cold, and Corola is left without the basic necessities to stay warm and safe. She has to rebuild her life from scratch and is in immediate need of:
- Clothing & Winter Gear (coats, boots, layers)
- Housewares & Kitchen Essentials
- Furniture & Bedding
- Basic Daily Necessities & Personal Care Items
Corola has always been a resilient, giving person, and right now, she needs her community to rally around her. We are establishing this fund to help her cover immediate living expenses, secure warm clothing, and begin the long, difficult process of finding a stable place to live and replacing what was lost.
