Cassie Prince was driving home with her dog Ozzie from working with her horse on 10/18/2026 when an impaired driver hit them. Ozzie the dog was unscathed but the head -on-collision resulting in severe injuries to Cassie. Thanks to quick first responders, she was life-flighted to Sanford where they performed the life saving care to control bleeding and save her life.
She was admitted to the ICU where she remains as she has been undergoing multiple surgeries to save her legs. Her recovery will be extensive and this accident and injuries are life altering. We are raising funds to cover medical costs and other bills as she goes through her hospitalization, recovery and rehabilitation to learn to walk again. The impaired driver who hit her had already previously had his license revoked and with that, liability insurance. All funds raised will go directly to her expenses.
Cassie is an avid horsewoman, volunteers doing equestrian therapy for children, a full time graduate student, dog-mom and all-around wonderful person. We ask that you consider helping her with costs to lessen the load for her and her partner Carl as they navigate life forward.
