On Monday September 21, 2026 17-year-old Bri (driving an older Ford Focus) was involved in a horrific head-on collision with a large pick-up truck towing a trailer, which was empty at the time.
Miracle #1: Bri survived the crash. Observers of the wreckage thought it to be a recovery rather than a rescue.
Miracle #2: Bri did not suffer any internal bleeding or serious head/neck trauma with the exception of a concussion.
Miracle #3: With both femurs broken (along with her right humerus and a bone in her left hand), Bri is able to be immediately weight-bearing on her left leg rather than in a wheelchair for 6-8 weeks.
That being said, Bri has undergone multiple surgeries, 4 days in the ICU, currently in trauma recovery with a stint in rehabilitation yet to come…so there is still a long road to recovery ahead.
Bri is the oldest daughter of Harley & Chris Mineer and the 2nd of 6 children. Harley (Children’s Director at local church) has been at the hospital with Bri non-stop while Chris has also been there as much as possible while also balancing work (construction industry) and care of the other 4 kids remaining at home. Their church family has come together for meals and assisting the family in comfort, as well as covering things at the church. Chris was graciously given some extra time off by his company, but after today (09/28) he is out of PTO.
As you can imagine this has been a harrowing time for the entire family. While they do have good insurance - both auto & health - there are still deductibles and other expenses (ambulance, surgeons, therapy, etc.) that will need to be paid out of pocket in whole or in part.
This fundraiser is specifically designed to help alleviate those financial concerns so the family can focus on Bri’s complete recovery - not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Funds will be used for emergency treatment, surgeries, rehab, prescriptions, travel/gas, mobility aids, and possible lost wages, as applicable.
