Trương Huỳnh Quang Minh, lovingly called “Sú” by his family, has just turned 4 years old.
His fourth birthday should have been filled with cake, laughter, toys, and family. Instead, Sú spent it in the hospital after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) — an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow.
Since being admitted to the hematology department in Vietnam, Sú has undergone blood transfusions, repeated tests, and painful medical procedures. His mother has had to hold him while hearing him cry:
“Mommy, it hurts… Mommy, help me.”
For any parent, those words are heartbreaking.
For Sú's father, the two greatest blessings of his life were marrying Sú's mother and the day their little boy was born.
When Sú came into his life, he became his father's light, hope, and reason to keep moving forward.
Now, only four years later, his parents are facing a fear they never imagined — the possibility of losing one of the most precious things life has ever given them.
His father can only hold his son's hand and tell him:
“Sú, please keep fighting with Mom and Dad. When this storm passes, we will hold hands and walk through life together with all the laughter and happiness you deserve.”
Sú needs our help
Sú now faces a long treatment journey that may include intensive chemotherapy, prolonged hospitalization, blood and platelet transfusions, medications, repeated bone marrow testing, and potentially a stem-cell transplant if his doctors determine it is necessary.
His family is preparing for treatment-related costs that could reach approximately 2 billion Vietnamese đồng — around $80,000 USD.
The final cost will depend on how Sú responds to treatment and whether complications or transplantation occur.
His parents have already endured tremendous financial hardship. Today, they no longer wish for a house, money, or material things.
His mother's only wish is simple:
She wants her son back.
She wants to see Sú grow up, go to school, run, play, laugh, and live the ordinary childhood every four-year-old deserves.
How your donation helps
Donations will help cover Sú's chemotherapy, hospitalization, blood and platelet transfusions, testing, medications, treatment of complications, and possible stem-cell transplantation.
I am Sú's relative and am organizing this fundraiser from the United States. Funds received through this campaign will be transferred to Sú's parents in Vietnam to help pay for his medical care and treatment-related expenses.
We will provide updates on Sú's journey and maintain records of funds transferred to his family.
If you can donate, any amount will help. If you cannot donate, please share Sú's story. One share may reach someone who can make a difference.
Sú is only four years old.
He deserves the chance to grow up.
Please help Sú fight this storm and come home to his family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every donation, share, prayer, and message of support
