In September of 2026 Larry Queen sought treatment for an abdominal aortic aneurysm through his local hospital. After receiving a cat scan showing a potentially fatal sized aneurysm that was currently leaking, he was informed that there was nothing that could be done to correct it at this time due to his age despite being otherwise healthy. After seeking a second opinion at a renowned out of state medical facility, it was determined that this was an operable medical procedure that he was healthy enough to receive. After extensive observation and multiple tests to verify this, the procedure was performed successfully. Following a stable recovery period he was released to return home.
While in recovery at home it was determined that his health insurance provider would not cover the expenses of this procedure, due to being out of network. The Queens have since received extensive and unaffordable medical bills related to the procedure. While currently working with the care provider to establish a plan to cover the costs it still is an insurmountable amount of financial burden that they are not able to provide at this time. We humbly asking that you consider making a donation to help reduce the debt to an affordable level as the Queens are in retirement and currently survive on a fixed income.
