Following the description of the charity is the story of my friend in Kenya.  Jane Betty is a compassionate and mission-driven person with a deep calling from God to serve the marginalised especially in Maasailand, with a heart anchored in Christ. Transforming their livelihoods through a mission based organization which she founded several years ago.

VCK Kenya offers holistic support to needy communities transforming their livelihoods. We're a Christian organization run under Christian principles. Innovative and members are all from different ethnic tribes. Mission-based, led by Christian principles. Result-oriented. Apolitical. Non-racial & Advocates for peace. Empowerment programs, providing clean water, Agriculture and farming, feeding programs, Mentorship and counselling.

We sustain our organization by making mats, detergents and African crafts & jewelry,

Pastry & cookery training school- selling baked products & cooked food. Empowering needy women and youth to be self-reliant.

Beyond meeting physical needs, we're deeply committed to evangelize God's word, transformation begins with spiritual renewal, bringing life changing message of the Good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We need a van to transport essentials & check on projects in outlying areas. Right now a rental van is secured using funds that would be used for other urgent needs.

I'm not one to share personal stories lightly, but sometimes life throws you a curveball that changes everything. It was just another sunny day in the heart of rural Kenya when I felt it—the weight of need pressing down on us all. This isn't just about me or my team; it’s about every woman and youth we strive to support across VCK Kenya, an organization born out of faith and driven by love for our communities.

We are the heartbeat behind grassroots transformation in some of Kenya’s most underprivileged areas—areas often overlooked but teeming with potential just waiting to be tapped into. From providing clean water to empowering young women and men through mentorship and spiritual guidance, we're all about turning challenges into stepping stones towards a brighter future for everyone involved.

But let me tell you, it’s not always easy out here. We often struggle against the very winds of change that could help lift our communities up! Right now, there’s an urgent need: transportation—specifically, securing a reliable van to reach those far-flung corners where our projects are making a difference but remain in desperate need of support and resources.

Our current rental vehicle can barely keep up with the demands placed upon it as we navigate rugged terrain from one community project site to another... And every dollar raised goes straight back into programs that change lives—programs like feeding initiatives, agricultural training, and clean water projects which are fundamental in ensuring long-term sustainability within these communities.

We believe deeply that empowerment transcends material needs; true transformation begins with spiritual renewal. This isn’t just about providing physical sustenance but inspiring hope amidst hardship through the message of Jesus Christ—hope for a better tomorrow despite today's setbacks or circumstances.

And it’s here, in these moments of quiet resilience and unwavering faith against all odds that we find our true purpose: to be agents of change; instruments through which God can act within communities too often forgotten by mainstream development agendas.
