Melissa is a devoted mother of three, widow, and sole provider who is now facing an incredibly difficult battle with a recent diagnosis of esophageal cancer. The news has turned life upside down for her and her children.

We've had the privilege of getting to know her youngest daughter, Sophia through our barn family. She's an incredibly dedicated young adult that gives her all for everything she does. She's a hardworking high school senior with a deep passion for showing her horse, Rush. Despite the challenges, Sophia juggles multiple jobs while maintaining excellent grades - all to continue doing what she loves.

Melissa is a strong, loving, and selfless woman who has always put her family first. With the physical toll of cancer and the side effects of treatment, Melissa has had to stop working. As a single mother, the loss of income has created a financial strain on her. On top of daily living expenses, the costs of cancer treatments, medications, and travel to appointments are quickly adding up - all while Melissa keeps fighting. As a community, we want to make it possible for her to focus on healing.
