One of our own long time advocates who is always helping others, and very good single mom friend of mine, is in need of some fast assistance to help her son & their tri-pawd dog. They are losing their home & her son needs medical help. Those of us in this movement are no strangers to hardships & adversity - this is a rather extreme case of too much life happening at once. This single mom’s special needs son, Gabriel, was VICIOUSLY ATTACKED BY A BULLY THE SIZE OF A MAN, IN AN UNPROVOKED SURPRISE ATTACK at his middle school. He sustained potentially permanent brain injuries, injury to his neck & back, mouth/jaw, a broken hand & trauma. He is in weekly physical therapy & more. (The video footage of the attack is shocking). The bully is 6 inches taller & 50 lbs heavier. As you zoom in on the video, you can see the bully come in to the cafeteria wearing purple. He slams her son’s head with a laptop and then slams his head on to the table. The bully, then grabs him by the neck to throw him on the ground and continues to kick him in the back, stomp on his head and wherever he could, making his anomalies worse. The other children were stunned & several of them had to receive therapy after witnessing this. The attacker was charged criminally with 3 felonies. 

Thankfully, our friend Gabe is receiving several great physical therapy helps, as well as some things that his doctor prescribed for his body to heal. He needs HBOT & to see functional neurologist, but that is not something his mom can provide right now with limited income. She interviewed numerous attorneys about a civil suit, and they all say the same thing. The school district is protected by Tort Immunity, thanks to legislation.

Meanwhile, Gabriel suffers immensely and this has affected them so much more than most know, resulting in a domino effect on their lives. I’ve never witnessed so much strength and positivity than I have in Gabe & his mom. 

Due to tending to this extreme situation, she lost her full time career, which only made matters worse. She immediately started a new job where she worked part time, allowing her to be there for all that Gabe needed. He took a while to return to school & when he did go back, there were weekly and sometimes daily struggles as he was in the same environment where he was traumatized. She has pulled him out of there. Things added up quickly and they need some help fast, as they lose their home. There are multiple ways to help:

• 2ND - FINANCIAL 💰- every little bit helps & we appreciate your sacrifice to help them with as well as ongoing upfront medical costs. Physical therapy is already at 13k. Receipts can be provided. * new housing deposit, *moving expenses *possible storage. They have incurred 1 legal expense thus far. Invoice can also be provided. Strength training & boxing coach for Gabriel to gain more strength, agility, stamina and confidence. The mom has paid for a few sessions & would like her son to complete the summer sessions. This can be paid directly to the facilitator of the training or a donation to the campaign here. Thank you in advance. 

• 3rd - REFERRALS - She is working part time. All that income is eaten up just to pay his expenses & they’re not even getting by. So referrals for an affordable micro school or co-op in the St Charles/Elburn IL area. 

• 4th - a practitioner willing to do brain mapping & at a reduced cost (this is a big ask - extremely grateful for all assistance).
