Electricity and space heaters

I spent years caring for my mom with dementia. When she passed away, I lost our apartment and have been living in a tent since July. Getting a place isn't the issue but getting power is because of an outstanding past bill plus while still in a tent I am desperate for space heater. It's cold at night.
