I have been in an extremely abusive relationship and marriage for almost 10 years. We have 2 small children together, including a baby. I feel like I have just barely been surviving all these years, and thank God for my babies but they are the ones most affected by all of it. They are my whole world and I will do everything in my power to protect them. It has not been easy for me along this journey, as I have had some health issues and circumstances that have hindered me from working for the past 4 years but my focus has been taking care of my children. I have tried getting help with this situation and I am desperate at this point. The situation at hand is completely unbearable and I can't get into many details on here for safety reasons. I have been physically, mentally, emotionally, verbally, financially abused by this man. I have tried to leave before but I have been basically forced back into the home of my abuser because I had no place to go for my children and myself. I have exhausted all of my resources and I have been through court before fighting for custody. The lawyers have not been able to help protect us enough. This is a time sensitive matter as well, as I am just hanging on by a thread. I have been through so much trauma and I will need therapy for a while to help heal from this afterwards.
