My name is Jayden Beale and I am a legal professional who is personally and privately running a landmark human rights case against the Queensland government’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates imposed on the general public in 2021 and 2022 - not employment/worker mandates. These mandates required all citizens above the age of 16 to receive a COVID-19 vaccine to be able to freely participate in public and social life. The mandates, for the first time in our history, coerced pharmaceutical products onto the general public – products which were still being tested in clinical trials and which did not prevent transmission of the targeted virus.
I have personally, at my own expense, built possibly the largest human rights and religious freedom case against sweeping government vaccine mandates in Australia, where we have now filed 13 expert reports from leading experts in the country and overseas. These experts include leading professors of medicine and immunology, multiple scientists from leading universities and other senior doctors and specialists. The case represents a globally significant chance at defeating vaccine mandates on the general populace and enshrining our human rights into law.
I first began these proceedings in the Supreme Court of Queensland as a junior law clerk in December 2021, where I had to stand in front of colleagues in the legal profession alone and announce that I was unvaccinated and challenging the department of health. At that time, I had no one supporting me except a friend from high school and my partner who had suffered a COVID-19 vaccine injury. But what started as a small case brought by a law clerk in the Supreme Court has now turned into a leading human rights case where dozens of individuals now privately lend their support.
The case is now being heard in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal as a landmark human rights case. Over the last 3 years, I have defeated multiple applications to dismiss the case brought by government and have now filed more than 30 statements and reports from leading experts, lay persons and vaccine injured members of the public. The desired outcome from this case is to obtain multiple declarations that the vaccine mandates were unlawful and violated the human rights, bodily autonomy, human dignity and religious freedom of all people.
Over the last 3 years, significant developments have occurred in the proceedings where we have exposed public comments made by the former chief health officer which demonstrate that government did not give the mandates for the purpose of stopping COVID-19 transmission. Because of developments such as these, I have sought assistance from a noteworthy King’s Counsel barrister to assist me and ensure this case succeeds.
Your donations from this fundraiser will help me afford ongoing significant legal costs, as well as the costs associated with obtaining further expert reports from our leading medical and scientific experts. The case is nearing a trial, and being able to afford these costs is crucial to the case’s continued success.
With declarations of unlawfulness from the court, this will hopefully set a legal precedent in Australian law that the government cannot mandate or coerce drugs or vaccines onto the public, and they cannot remove us from public and social life if we object. This case will also bring awareness to the harm suffered by vaccine injured people who were ignored during the COVID-19 period. The case reference is Jayden Beale v State of Queensland (ADL014-23) and the matter is currently being heard in QCAT. We anticipate a full, public trial being listed for some time in 2027.
