Help Support Casey, Josh, and Their Four Boys Through Her Fight Against Stage IV Breast Cancer
Their family never imagined that what should have been one of the happiest seasons of their lives would turn into the most difficult journey they have ever faced.
In January 2026, Casey and her husband, Josh, welcomed their fourth beautiful baby boy into the world. With four little boys filling their home life was busy.
Just six months later, their world changed.
In July, Casey was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer, invasive lobular carcinoma. By the time they discovered the cancer, it had already spread beyond her breasts and into her lymph nodes, liver, and extensively throughout her bones, including her spine, ribs, pelvis, and sternum.
There was no time to process the diagnosis before their lives were turned upside down. The cancer had already begun breaking Casey’s spine.
What Casey initially thought was back pain turned out to be a pathological compression fracture caused by cancer weakening one of her vertebrae.
She underwent her first spinal procedure in July in an attempt to stabilize the fracture. Unfortunately, her spine continued to deteriorate, and just a week later, she was rushed into emergency surgery because the cancer and collapsing vertebra were severely compressing her spinal cord.
Casey underwent an extensive spinal reconstruction that involved removing much of the cancer-damaged T7 vertebra, decompressing her spinal cord, and surgically fusing her spine from T4 through T10.
In just a matter of weeks, Casey went from caring for her newborn and chasing after her little boys to learning how to move, walk, and function through tremendous pain.
And while her body is still trying to recover from major spinal surgery, she is also fighting an aggressive, metastatic cancer. Because of the severity of Casey’s illness, her repeated hospitalizations, and the level of care she requires, Josh has had to step away from much of his work to care for her and their family.
Their lives have changed in ways they never could have anticipated, emotionally, physically, and financially.
With ongoing cancer treatment, medical expenses, travel for specialized care, rehabilitation, daily caregiving needs, and the loss of income while Josh helps care for Casey, the financial burden on their family has become significant.
Donations will help them cover medical and treatment-related expenses, household bills, their mortgage, transportation to appointments, and the everyday needs of their four young children.
Casey doesn’t know exactly what the months ahead will look like. There are still so many unknowns, and the road ahead is long.
Casey isn’t just fighting cancer. She’s fighting for more birthdays, more bedtime stories, more family dinners, more ordinary mornings, and more time to watch her boys grow up.
Their faith in the Lord has carried them through some of the darkest moments of this journey. Even when they don’t understand why this is happening, they continue to trust Him, one day at a time.
If you feel led to donate, share their story, or keep Casey, Josh, and their four boys in your prayers, they would be incredibly grateful.
From the bottom of their hearts, thank you for helping them carry a burden they never imagined they would face.
With love and gratitude,
Casey, Josh, and their four boys.
