Delilah came to us at just a week and a half old, covered in motor oil, one eye still closed, and with a severe open leg wound and break, likely from falling out of a car engine. She was tiny, fragile, and too young for surgery, but she was a fighter. Over three weeks she gained strength, began walking on her injured leg, and filled our home with her loud meows and fierce love for our girls.
She was doing well until yesterday. After barely surviving a hypoglycemic crash with vet intervention, she slipped into another full episode overnight. Despite everything we did to warm her and raise her blood sugar, she faded within 20 minutes.
An incubator could have made the difference by keeping Delilah warm and supported when her tiny body could no longer regulate herself. We’re raising money so the next fragile kitten who arrives in crisis has that lifesaving tool waiting for them. Delilah only knew love in her short time with us. Please help us give the next one a better chance.
