Decorating Emily's Island for the Holidays & GKTW

This holiday season, we would love to bring some joy to Emily's Island. For over 15 years, we have maintained Emily's Island, a median on Ronkonkoma Avenue and the Long Island Expressway, since Emily's diagnosis of Sanfilippo Syndrome. We are blessed that Emily is now 21 and has a good quality of life. The median was our way of thanking our community for their support of our family, and a new sign was just added this fall that reads "Emily's Island - Every day is a gift, Make it count." We would like to add to it this holiday season by decorating it with solar powered lights for everyone to enjoy. The funds raised would pay for the decorations and a brick with Emily's name on it. The brick & remaining funds would be donated to the greatest place on Earth, GIVE KIDS THE WORLD. Emily had her Make-A-Wish trip there. Thank you for standing with us.
