Support Dave Holm: Artist, Museum Founder, and 6-Time Survivor
The Story
Dave Holm is a well known member of the global tattoo community. As a self-employed artist with over 40 years of experience and the founder of the Swiss Tattoo Museum, Dave has dedicated his life to preserving the history and craft of tattooing.
After recently returning to his craft following a year-long recovery from a devastating motorcycle accident, Dave has received news that would shake anyone: he must undergo radical surgery to amputate his right ear.
Dave is now facing his toughest battle yet. A 6-time survivor, he is now preparing for radical surgery to amputate his right ear. While Dave’s legendary Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) has carried him through every previous challenge, this time is different.

The Challenge
As a self-employed artist and museum owner, Dave has no insurance to cover his loss of income during recovery. He will be unable to work for a minimum of 6 weeks, and potentially much longer depending on his healing process.
How You Can Help
We are raising funds to ensure Dave can focus entirely on his health and recovery without the crushing weight of financial stress. Your donations will go directly toward:
Living Expenses: Covering rent and basic needs while he is unable to tattoo.
Museum Bills: Ensuring the Swiss Tattoo Museum remains stable while its founder recovers.
Medical Support: Dave has medical insurance coverage and expects no further costs due to this procedure.
Dave has spent decades "backstage" working hard for the industry and just recently brought back to life after a 12 year hiatus one of the most important trade journals ever for professional tattoo artists, Tattoo Artist Magazine. Now, it’s our turn to step up for him. Whether you can donate $5 or $500, every bit helps a friend, a mentor, and a survivor get back on his feet.
