About the school, our future students, the program and curriculum, ...

CSSEE is being developed as an American virtual school that will provide training unlike anything that could be offered by any of the current, monolithic, and very much anti-Christian, failed attempts calling themselves schools for the blind. CSSEE will prepare blind people of any age who possess, or who could successfully convince us that they could ramp up quickly enough to keep up and sufficiently gain, the technical skills we will hone and build upon. We will train and develop productive, Godly men who will succeed in service to existing businesses with whom we partner, or who will start their own businesses with the guidance and mentorship of real businessmen, for the express purposes of making strong, skilled, dignified disciples of Christ who are ready to earn their livings, establish families, and lead themselves and others out of the disaster that is socialist America's sprawling, corrupt nightmare of oppression and dependency heavy-laden upon blind people and upon so many others. Students will be admitted based on character and proven aptitude, and they will receive the best available training. All our curriculum will be focused initially on information technology/information science and at or near engineering-level rigor, building practical skills from the first day of class, earning highly valued certifications throughout the program, learning important theoretical principles through study and experimentation, all leading towards the ultimate practical goal of entrepreneurship. Upon graduation from the twelve- to twenty-four-month program, they will be well prepared to serve God and man, leaving behind the demeaning, depressing, emasculating and dependency-and-control-based socialist welfare entanglements, along with shedding the low expectations of a society that has for too long baked into the economic fabric the false and degrading assumptions taught by socialist/communist-based, anti-God education and philosophy. The blind people we serve shall no longer bear the brunt of the consequences of all those societal sins.

The school is now and will always remain unencumbered by government and other regulatory and constricting influences, we will always remain Christ-centered in all we do, using the Bible as the foundation of the truth and character we will instill in our students, and we will remain unmatched in our unwavering commitments to honoring Christ and producing honest, hard-working, skilled men who know what it means to be Christians, and what it means to live lives of courageous faith built upon Rock-solid principles. Training will be thoroughly technical, up-to-date, and practically valuable and spiritually enriching. The world will see what well trained blind men can do, and blind men will see the world in a whole new light.

Please consider helping this greatly needed mission we are undertaking. Progress is being made rapidly, but we have a long way to go: creating the curriculum, recruiting students, setting up the online classrooms, making contacts with businesses, and performing all the innumerable tasks needed in order to begin classes in 2027 with our first group of students. Please take a few moments to read many more details, all conveniently laid out at our site in continuous form as an introduction to the school. You will see that this is quite an important and serious endeavor, you can find information about how to contact us, and you can get ideas about how you or someone you know could help make our start and our students a success. Please also note that we have created a second fundraising page, Scholarships: CSSEE, where you can watch the progress we make towards funding our first class of students.

From the Founder

Jesus Christ is God and King. There is no other correct starting point. He is first in our name, and He shall be the final word in all that we do. The state of blind people has forever been one of low degree, and understandably so: In a high-definition, three-dimensional world, without sight, the disadvantages are everywhere, and the mountain that is life becomes a mountain range, where one can become disoriented in a parking lot, or walk unwittingly upon a vicious stray dog, or simply be oppressed by the stultifications of everyone around telling you to sit there in the basement with your welfare-check pacifier and rot your manhood away until you die the death. No more. The mind and its imagination, and the heart full of hope, are enough to raise up even a blind man from poverty to become in large part what all men should be: God-fearing, God-serving, God-inspired, hard-working, productive, profitable, and prosperous, in Christ.

No more excuses. The low expectations I have seen everywhere as a blind man could easily be enough in themselves to discourage any major, difficult undertaking. Why add to the difficulties? Why not simply "sign up for the Check", as so many, even so many Christians, have attempted to foist upon blind people as their only real hope? Because God does not call us, not even those of us who are blind, to the Easy Way. He calls us to the One Way: Truth and Life in Christ. We have been bought by the price of His blood, and we are risen together with Him in the newness of life by the power of His resurrection. That's why. And then there are His people, and all those who are lost. We blind men are equally responsible, equally called, and equally capable of finding, knowing, honoring, and serving God, with our whole lives, just as much as all other men are responsible and capable to do and to be.

CSSEE is therefore founded upon the Rock of Jesus Christ, with the explicitly and unashamedly stated purpose of serving Him by serving blind people, which entails teaching, training, pastoring, coaching, and mentoring them to become what God created them to be and to do. We are developing plans, from curricula to apprenticeships, that will provide the training and connections to enable blind people to live as fully as possible physically in a world designed for sight, and that will, more importantly, ...

Projections and Breakdowns

As it stands, based on current projections, we think we could start the school in about one year, and then host the first class for its first year, for about $127,500. If so, this would mean that, not counting bare-essential staff living expenses, we believe the school could be ready to start for the fall 2027 semester for about $10,000. Further, not counting startup costs, scholarships of $3,000 would be able to sponsor a single student for the whole year (90,000 / 30); if startup costs are included in the estimate, we would instead simply take 127,500 / 30 = $4,250: the cost per student, to fund the startup and also to fund the student for his first year.

Breakdowns

Breakdown of current estimates needed to sponsor 30 students for the fall semester 2027, with students following a year-round schedule:

Startup Expenses (present to school opening, August 2027)

Curriculum

Development: 1,000

Business Relations

Communications, travel, events: 2,500

Equipment/Infrastructure

Services, servers, software, storage, accounts: 4,000

Library: 2,000

(Initial library expenses are low; for students in session, they will likely be much higher for access to research libraries)

Staff

Founder: 28,000/year

(Breakdown: for the typical government-issued 40-hour workweek @176 hours/month: $13.26/hour; for the entrepreneur's realistic workweek of 80-100 hours/week, using 12 hours/day @360 hours/month: $6.48/hour)

Ongoing Expenses (first year school is open)

Equipment/Infrastructure

Subscriptions, licenses, libraries (students): 21,000

Subscriptions, licenses (school): 7,500

Maintenance, support, upgrades: 3,500

Staff

Founder (same as above): 28,000

Total Projections

Startup, from present to first day of classes

37,500

Ongoing, for first year of classes, 30 students, year-round

90,000
