Steve and Deborah Miles are carrying out the mission God has given them, to bring "Church to the Streets," and to be a full-time presence in the city of Birmingham.

So what does bringing "church to the streets" mean? It means getting the church out of the building and into the streets where we are more visible. Some people may never step foot into a church, but they still need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ being preached. And in addition to evangelising to the many nations that are represented in Birmingham, Church to the Streets (CTTS) is a regular and consistent presence in the city centre, who are active in praying for the sick, distributing Christian literature and Bibles, counselling and encouraging believers and signposting people as appropriate.

And the vision extends to raising up similar missional fellowships throughout all of the Birmingham postcodes and beyond, into other towns and UK cities. There is much to do! 

Deborah is in full-time ministry within Church to the Streets, primarily due to the financial support of Steve. But, for the vision to be accomplished, their aim is to both be in full-time ministry. 

At the time of writing, Deborah is in intensive care after sustaining multi-organ failure and being in a coma. Due to her severe condition, doctors expect that she has a long road to recovery ahead of her, but we, the friends and supporters of CTTS, pray that the road will be shortened by the strength and grace of God and we pray for the manifestation of God's total healing and restoration in her life, in accordance with Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5. 

But rather than the focus being on Deborah's physical condition, we feel that this situation has shone a light on the spiritual condition of the church, the bride of Christ, and it has been a call to action for the bride to wake up and for the body to unite!

To that end, it was impressed upon the hearts of a number of Christian believers that there is a need for financial support to catapult CTTS forward.

Yes, we are asking for donations of love and support, to assist Steve and Deborah at this very challenging time but, more importantly, we are asking for you to consider a regular giving commitment to Church to the Streets, to help them carry out their God-given mandate.

Times indeed are challenging, but please give or make a regular commitment, as you feel led to. And, whether you can give or not, please PRAY for Deborah, Steve and the whole body of Christ. 🙏
