Christian Castro Legal Defense

Christian Castro has dedicated his career to national service, devoting nearly 25 years across the U.S. Military and federal law enforcement. An Army combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he served 13 years on active duty and in the reserves, earning the rank of Sergeant. His military service includes surviving a suicide bombing shockwave while stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, an event that resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and combat-related PTSD.

Castro joined U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in mid-September of 2025. Shortly thereafter he was dispatched to respond to the tragic civil disturbance in Minneapolis precipitated by the ongoing immigration crisis. Christian responded to his Nation's call. He was performing his duties when a Venezuelan migrant believed to be associated with a gang the President has identified, gave chase, first by vehicle and then on foot. Officer Castro, in accordance with his job, followed but he was tackled to the ground by the migrant's companion. The two alleged migrants ran into a nearby house. Officer Castro continued to give chase, expecting that they were retrieving a firearm. Officer Castro reacted immediately in self defense and discharged his firearm into the door as he was by then standing in the yard as an open target. Nonetheless, the state of Minnesota has charged Officer Castro with six counts of felony aggravated assault. He has turned himself in after an extradition battle between Texas and Minnesota, and is now out on bond pending trial.

At the same time, the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Minnesota standing alone has charged him with allegedly making false statements to federal agents shortly after the incident. Those statements evidently relate to how the tumble on the ground was initiated and who did what. The exact alleged false statements are unclear at this time.

Officer Castro is a long-time public servant and war hero who was critically wounded defending his country and returned practically entirely disabled heeded the call and went to Minneapolis to try to curb civic unrest. He was put in a life-threatening situation and responded the only way he knew how.

The state of Minnesota is trying to vent its grievances through this individual officer and the local U.S. Attorney for Minnesota is piling on at a politically opportune time. That leaves Officer Castro by himself. He needs your help.
