Assistance needed while navigating unemployment!!

Please help!! I was laid off on Feb 2026 after almost 2 years of employment and was very fortunate to secure a contract role, that started in May 2026; role was to last a min. of 6 months and possible go temp to perm.

Sadly that came to an end on 08/28/2026 and I find myself, once again, unemployed. I am a single 64 year old female in New Jersey; I have used my small savings and little 401K to survive 6 layoffs since 2020.

In order to receive Medicaid for medical care and prescriptions I need to earn (in unemployment or a job) less than $2000 a month, which I do not.

I have no other support besides myself and it's extremely difficult to pay for rent, utilities, prescription, groceries and other basic needs with $609.00 a week from unempoyment benefits; I have only 8 weeks left of said benefits. Any amount help...
