"Amy has said yes quite a bit. As a mother of 9 kids — with 8 still at home — she does have to say no sometimes too, but her natural inclination is to say yes whenever possible. My favorite was when she agreed to marry me, but I'm hopeful that was an easy yes — we seemed to like each other from the start.

She has a habit of saying yes to things many people aren't willing to say yes to. She started early, saying yes to mission trips, leading small groups, and mentoring. Then, with 2 small children, she said yes to fostering and adoption. Some of her most meaningful yeses include:

• Fostering multiple children
• Adopting 3 kids, including a child with Down Syndrome
• Helping families that needed a hand
• Welcoming my dad into our home as we help care for him through Parkinson's disease

I'll admit, she often gets to a yes faster than I do — but she's rarely been wrong.

Now, she needs some help. We are seeking to get her treatment for a breast tumor at Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers, which specializes in non-toxic, integrative cancer treatment that addresses the physical, mental, and emotional roots of the disease. The total cost will be around $60,000 for the treatment, travel, and follow-up visits.
