My name is Amber, and I am the proud mother of my sweet baby boy, Amari. I never imagined that my journey as a mother would include so much fear, heartbreak, and uncertainty. For over past few months, my precious son has been battling Pulmonary Vein Stenosis, a serious condition that has become increasingly aggressive.
Watching my baby fight for his life has been one of the hardest things I have ever experienced. There are no words to describe the pain of seeing your child struggle, especially when all you want is to take away his pain and make everything better. There have been moments when we have come dangerously close to losing him, including a terrifying moment when Amari almost coded. Those moments are forever etched in my heart and mind.
Through it all, I have remained right by my baby’s side, day in and day out. I have been traveling back and forth between work and the hospital, Missing work days due to constant meetings with his medical team trying to balance being a working mother while making sure my son knows that Mommy is always here. The emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion is something I cannot fully put into words. Some days, I feel like I am running on nothing but prayer, faith, and the love I have for my son. But even through the darkest days, Amari continues to fight. I will never stop fighting alongside him.
We continue to pray for a miracle. We continue to believe in healing, in hope, and in the power of God.
Your generosity will help ease some of the financial burden that comes with this ongoing medical journey and allow me to continue being present for Amari during this critical time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has stood beside us, prayed for us, checked on us, and offered a helping hand. May God bless each and every one of you for your kindness and compassion.
Amari is my heart, my reason, and my greatest blessing. I will continue to fight for him, pray for him, and love him through every breath, every battle, and every difficult day.
With love and gratitude,
Amari’s Mom, Amber.
