I recently learned about a foster family in the Birmingham area who is need of some help. They have taken in a teenage girl who was adopted at a young age. Recently, her adoption was dissolved after several years and this family has welcomed her into their home to support her and give her a place to belong.
They have plans for a trip to Disney this December and the addition to their family came as a surprise. Now they have one heartfelt wish: to make sure this special girl can join them on their trip and be fully included.
The past several years have been challenging for her and family trips have been rare. She vaguely remembers one trip to an amusement park when she was little, but not much beyond that.
We’re hoping to raise $2000 to cover her tickets and travel costs so she can join the family trip and be a part of this unique experience.
This is about more than a trip to Disney. It’s about love, joy, belonging, and building memories that will last a lifetime.
