As a mother, there is nothing harder than watching your child suffer and feeling like you would do anything in the world to take that suffering away.
My son Carlos recently turned 21. He is bright, funny, kindhearted, and incredibly talented, with a special passion for music production. He has so much to offer the world, but for more than 10 years, he has struggled with debilitating symptoms and mental health challenges that have made everyday life incredibly difficult.
Through all these years, we have searched for answers, prayed, cried, hoped, and refused to give up.
Now, we have found a new path that gives us hope. Carlos has the opportunity to undergo specialized testing and receive an individualized treatment plan that could help us better understand what is happening and give him an opportunity to regain his health and his life.
