OpenCare

"Lord, I commit this project and campaign to You. As it says in 2 Corinthians 9:8, I pray for Your abundant blessing over this work. Provide every resource needed so that this can serve others and abound as a force for good. And as Luke 12:48 reminds us, 'From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.' Let those of us who are able be moved to act. Amen."

We set out to build tools that would help real people coordinate real care for the people they love. And we did.

OpenCare is our care coordination platform, and it's live right now at opencare.poorpeople.app.

Here's what it does today:

You create a Care Circle — a private group organized around a person or situation, like "Mom's Care" or "Dad's Recovery." You invite family, friends, neighbors, whoever's helping.

Everyone stays in the loop.

From there you can assign and track tasks, log visits with photos and notes, manage contacts like doctors and pharmacists, and share checklists with helpers who don't even need an account. It works in English and Spanish, sends push notifications and daily digests, and installs right on your phone.

It's free. It's working. People are using it.

The idea is simple: coordinating care for people is one of the most important jobs we do.

OpenCare makes that job easier by keeping everyone on the same page — no more group texts, no more things falling through the cracks.

We also built Recover E, an AI recovery companion that lives inside OpenCare. You can use it at opencare.poorpeople.app/care/recover-e.

Recover E offers multiple recovery modalities — therapy, exercise, body-mind-spirit, nutrition, journaling — without the dogma. It's available 24/7, it's free, and it's private.

Nothing replaces personal experience when it comes to recovery, and that understanding is built into how it works.

Recovery circles in OpenCare give you daily check-ins, mood tracking, streak tracking, and always-visible crisis resources like 988, SAMHSA, and the Crisis Text Line.

We built Recover E because we believe that everyone deserves access to support — not just people who can afford it or who happen to live near the right resources.

This is not a concept. OpenCare is live. Recover E is live.

What we need now is funding to scale — to move identity verification into production, to expand the platform's reach, to continue building features that serve more communities, and to get these tools into the hands of every family that needs them.

Special Note From Founder

This mission is deeply personal for me. I've lived through many of the same problems these tools are built to solve. People had faith in me during my darkest time, but it took radical transparency and discipline to work my way all the way back and earn trust.

If you also believe in this mission, contribute what you can.

We also ask that you join us by signing up at poorpeople.app, or go directly to OpenCare at opencare.poorpeople.app and start a Care Circle today.

It's a simple sign up.

I believe that fairness is something you always have to be willing to work for, and a nation that builds together will stay together.

God Bless,

Fotios Mpouris
