Help Provide Daily Care for Orphans in Uganda

Exodus Community Awakening Organization Uganda (ECAOUg) is a Christian, faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children in Uganda.

Founded in 2018, our mission is simple but deeply important: to provide children in need with a safe home, nutritious food, medical care, education, basic necessities, and most importantly, a loving Christian environment where they can grow and thrive.

Today, ECAOUg provides a home and daily care for 25 children between the ages of 3 and 15, while another 45 vulnerable children receive assistance through our community outreach program.

The Need Is Every Day

Caring for children is not a one-time expense. Every day there are meals to prepare, housing expenses to pay, medicine to purchase, clothing to replace, and countless other necessities that children need to live healthy and secure lives.

This GiveSendGo campaign has been established to help ECAOUg meet these ongoing monthly expenses.

Your donations will help provide:

1. Food and nutrition – Providing nutritious daily meals for the children in our care.
2. Safe housing – Helping with rent, utilities, maintenance, bedding, and other costs necessary to provide a safe place to live.
3. Medicine and healthcare – Providing medications, medical treatment, and other healthcare needs when children become sick or injured.
4. Clothing and personal necessities – Providing clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and other everyday essentials.
5. Education and children's needs – Helping provide school supplies and other necessities that allow our children to learn and grow.
6. Basic household expenses – Supporting the everyday costs of operating a home and caring for a growing family of children.

One of the greatest challenges for a small nonprofit caring for children is knowing whether there will be enough resources each month to meet their needs.

A child needs to eat tomorrow whether donations arrive or not. Medicine must be purchased when a child becomes sick. Housing expenses must be paid every month. School and personal necessities cannot simply be postponed.

That is why consistent monthly support is so important to our mission.

Our mission is about more than providing food and shelter.

We want every child in our care to know that they are loved, they have value, and they have a future.

As a Christian organization, we believe we are called to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ not only through our words, but through our actions—by caring for those who are vulnerable and providing hope to those who need it most.

James 1:27 reminds us:

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”
