We have always known that Foster Care and adoption would be a part of our family’s story and journey and we have always put it in God‘s hand to guide our steps as far as timing goes. We have been praying for decades for an opportunity for him to fulfill a longing in our hearts to adopt a child with special needs, specifically one with Down Syndrome. It has always been something that we both have felt that God has placed on our hearts and we have seen him been faithful to walk beside us in our foster care journey, and we know that he will walk beside us every step in this next journey of adoption. God has answered our prayers and we have been approved to move forward with an adoption for a four-year-old girl with DS from Columbia.
