Save horses from slaughter:Swingin' D Horse Rescue

Since its founding almost a decade ago, Swingin' D Horse Rescue has saved more than 70 horses from the slaughter pipeline. We've rescued prized racehorses, rodeo and show horses, ranch and work horses, and backyard ponies whose kids outgrew them.

Feed, hay, veterinary care, farrier services, bedding, pest control, training, and contract labor costs between $30,000 and $45,000 a year; and year after year, Swingin' D's founders drained their savings account to subsidize what donations didn't cover.

Unfortunately, those savings accounts are depleted, and if we can't raise enough through donations, Swingin' D will have to close its doors.

We love what we do, and we're grateful for the opportunity to provide Happily Ever After for so many precious souls and their adopters. We're especially grateful to the generous folks who've donated services, time, supplies, hay, and money to keep our operation going.

We realize times are tough for a lot of us. If you're able, your donation might help us to continue saving horses from slaughter. We really can't do it without you. Every little bit makes a difference!
