On August 6th, we adopted a young cat named Gene from the Williamson County Animal Shelter. He is a black and white tuxedo cat and only about a year and a half old. He loves to run around the house, chasing his toy mice and his older brother. When he tires himself out, he likes to lay out on the couch or on top of one of us, purring like no tomorrow. Yesterday, September 14th, he went for his first checkup and we were told some saddening news. The Vets informed us that he has a detached retina. We are not certain if he will need surgery, however, the initial appointment with the ophthalmologist will be $260, not including any tests. If anyone is able to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount would help. Thank you and God bless you!
