This past week, my daughter-in-law Emily and her three children experienced a devastating loss. Her beloved husband and their father, Kevin, passed away unexpectedly after spending several days in the ICU.

As Emily and her children grieve, she is also facing the sudden reality of raising three children and managing their household without Kevin. In the weeks and months ahead, she should be able to focus on her children and take life one day at a time - not worry about the mortgage, groceries, or the many expenses that lie ahead.

We created this fundraiser to surround Emily and her children with the love and support of their family, friends, church, and community. Donations will help with housing, utilities, groceries, childcare, school and transportation costs, insurance, and medical and funeral expenses. Most importantly, this support will give Emily some financial breathing room as she begins navigating a future she never expected to face without her husband.

No amount of money can fill the place Kevin leaves behind, but together we can help ensure that financial uncertainty does not add to the burden this family is already carrying.
