Gardner Lake is at risk. The city is moving to sell it, and we believe this sale bypassed proper procedures. We're raising funds for legal representation to challenge the city's authority to sell the lake and to investigate whether the sale was disclosed in the city's state grant applications.
Our legal team will examine whether the city followed the correct process, whether the grants were obtained legitimately, and what options exist to protect the lake from a private sale. This is about accountability and ensuring public assets are handled transparently. At a minimum, the city should get fair market value for a piece of prime real estate.
