We are so excited to share that we are adopting!
At the end of May of 2026, we officially started the process to adopt. We are pursuing a domestic infant adoption which means we will be adopting a newborn baby from the United States.
Over four years ago, we decided we were ready to start our family only to be met with years of unanswered prayers. We have walked through some really hard days to get to where we are now, but we feel strongly that our next step to starting a family is through infant adoption.
We have completed our home study, our family profile, and are an active waiting family with several adoption agencies across the country. This means that we could be "matched" with an expecting birth mother at any time. We have no idea how long this process will take. We could be holding a baby tomorrow or still waiting a year from now. We covet your prayers as we walk through this process as it is filled with many difficult decisions and lots of uncertainty. You can specifically pray that we would continue to trust God each step of the way and not lose hope for the future of our family.
If you feel led to help support us in starting our family, we would be incredibly grateful. Our expenses include fees to support the birth mother's living and medical expenses, legal fees for us and the birth mother, and agency fees. We anticipate our adoption costs to be between $50,000-$80,000. We truly cannot do this without your help and we would be humbled if you would join us in bringing home Baby Powell.
