I’ve debated and debated about sharing this, and being the more private person that I am, I’m still not sure I’m ready… but here goes.
2 years ago I had a health scare that stopped me in my tracks. Although it turned out not to be breast cancer, something I am incredibly grateful for, I know that many others don’t get the same news. During that waiting period(for scans, results, and answers) I found myself reflecting on how fragile life can be. My Mom and 6 sisters came to celebrate my 40th birthday during that time, and as we stood together to take a picture, it hit me: statistically, with 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer, that could be any one of us.
It was a sobering thought, and one that has stayed with me. Breast cancer affects so many lives. Our mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and while I was fortunate, many others are in the midst of their journey.
Do you know someone who is walking this road right now? If so, I’d love for you to nominate them to receive a Pink Box of Hope, or consider blessing them by sponsoring their box. This is our chance to let them know they’re not alone, and to send a reminder of love and support during their journey.
The cost to sponsor a box is $45, and if you don’t know anyone personally, would you consider sponsoring or contributing any amount to help someone on my list receive this gift of hope? Together, we can bring comfort and support to those who need it most.
